Universal will 'empower EMI artists', says Mary J. Blige
Thursday, Jun 21st 2012 at 2:59PMReuters reports that the singer wrote a letter to subcommittee chairman Herb Kohl to vouch for the transaction and Universal as a whole saying, "They will lead EMI brilliantly and empower EMI artists."
Blige joins the likes of Live Nation's Irving Azoff, who submitted a statement of support to the Senate ahead of his appearance there during the hearing.
