US charts: Beyonce surpasses last album's Stateside sales

Beyonce’s current album has beaten the total US sales of its predecessor less than a month after being released.

Although the self-titled set loses its place at No 1 on the Billboard 200 chart this week its 130,000 additional takers are enough for it to surpass the cumulative tally of her last album 4, which has sold 1.39 million copies in the States since its 2011 debut, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
