Eminem has helped US album sales beat 2012 numbers for the first time in seven weeks after The Marshall Mathers LP 2 opened with 792,000 takers.
That is the second biggest weekly tally of the year, behind only the 968,000 start for Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience in March, and gives the rapper his seventh No 1 on the Billboard 200.
