US charts: Yorke helps XL to No 2 US debut

Thom Yorke's new supergroup Atoms for Peace have given UK indie XL one of its highest-charting albums yet in the US with a No 2 debut for Amok.

The album, whose line-up alongside Yorke comprises Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker and Maura Refosco, sold 50,000 copies in its opening week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, to claim runners-up position on the Billboard 200.
