US album sales for the week ending November 30 were 15.2% lower than last years’ figure, according to Nielsen Music.
A total of 7.28 million units were purchased, compared to 8.6 million units sold in the corresponding week in 2013.
The week's performance is slightly worse than the industry's 12.3% album sale decline for the year so far.
However, online CD and mail-order sales rose to over 1 million, an increase of 16.5% from the previous year.
