Vance Joy’s Riptide was crowned the Song Of The Year last night at the Australasian Performing Right Association Awards (APRAs) in Brisbane last night, as well as being named Pop Work Of The Year.
Now in their 32nd year, the APRAS were held in Brisbane for the first time. The Outstanding International Achievement Award was a new category for 2014 and went to New Zealand songwriters Ella Yelich-O’Connor – better known as Lorde – and Joel Little.
