Vance Joy's Riptide has won the Grand Prize in the 2014 International Songwriting Competition.
The Aussie singer's win marks the first time in the US award's 14-year history that a song has received a perfect score from each judge.
Joy said: “It is such an honour to win this songwriting prize. Writing songs is what gives me a feeling of purpose. I’m proud to receive this award voted on by my songwriting peers.”
