Vevo has acquired Showyou, a curated video streaming platform.
The acquisition is Vevo's first, and looks like it will be used to help the video platform continue to differentiate itself from the likes of YouTube (where much of its content lives).
Showyou, launched in 2011, offers video content from the likes of Vice, Reddit, Buzzfeed and Vevo, with a subscription model added last year.
