Vevo has announced former head of Future and Digital Media Advertising at Channel 4 Errol Baran as its new commercial director.
Baran spent 11 years at Channel 4, helping to develop its online platform into the largest of the commercial broadcasters, with 342 million long-form views in the year to the end of October.
Baran also led Channel 4’s groundbreaking on-demand advertising deal with Virgin Media.
“In just 18 months, VEVO has proved to be a game changer in digital and online content in the UK,” said Baran. “I am thrilled to be working with such a dynamic and successful team.”
Commenting on the appointment, VEVO’s SVP International, Nic Jones said: “Errol’s track record at Channel 4 speaks for itself.
