The New York Post claims that Vevo CEO Rio Caraeff, has begun talks with the Google-owned company over increasing its share of money made through streaming on the site. Currently Vevo has 65% of the ad revenue compared to YouTube's 35% - however it is though Caraeff is looking to boost this figure.
The talks come as YouTube announces its own music-themed channels in partnership with artists including Pharrel Willians, Jay-Z and Madonna to bring in the advertisers.
