Viacom net income dips 4% in Q3

MTV parent company Viacom has released financial results for fiscal Q3 2015, missing predicted earnings.

Adjusted net income stood at $591 million, down 4% year-on-year from $618m. Revenue also fell 11% to $3.06 billion.

The decline is said to be due to lower theatrical revenues - which were down 92% - with no wide theatrical releases in the quarter. Entertainment revenues also decreased by 44% to $479m. The same period last year saw a new Transformers film, while big flicks this year such ...
