Today, Vice Media and Marshall Headphones launch the third series of On The Road this time looking at Black Sabbath and the Birth of Heavy Metal.
Presented by Jesse Hughes of Eagles Of Death Metal, the six-part documentary explores the history of the Birmingham band and heavy metal music.
The series sees Hughes start by interviewing Bill Ward of Black Sabbath, before journeying through Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Tewksbury, Monmouth and Gravesend, to meet the bands, roadies, journalists, groupies, designers and fans who were all there the first time around.
In the first episode, speaking at his rehearsal space in LA. Ward talks about what it was like growing up in Birmingham, how Sabbath got together and changed rock history, and reveals how he would still love to be a part of the band again in the future.
