Video-sharing website Vimeo has opened up monetisation for Pro level subscribers, allowing creators to set on-demand, paid-for rates for access to their videos.
TechCrunch reports that the full Vimeo On Demand offering, launched at SXSW, was originally trialled with some films and follows on from a Tip Jar initiative.
Pro users can set where their content is available on the site and the pricing for access, and even post trailers to lead users to pay for the full product.
