Vivendi has agreed a deal with rebel minority investor P. Schoenfeld Asset Management (PSAM).
PSAM demanded the payout of billions of dollars worth of dividends to shareholders as well as the sale of Universal Music Group.
Vivendi responded to the New York-based shareholder in an open letter, which warned that PSAM could face a massive fine if it continues to challenge the strategy of Vivendi majority shareholder, French billionaire Vincent Bolloré.
