VKontakte founder 'fired' and site taken over by Government allies - report

The founder of controversial Russian social network vKontakte (VK), Pavel Durov, has reportedly been fired and said that Government allies have taken over his site.

Durov is understood to have handed in his resignation on April 1 amidst news that legal proceedings have been filed by Sony Music Russia, Universal Music Russia and Warner Music UK against the site.
