Warner/Chappell’s Iain Morris has been promoted to the newly create role of head of digital, Europe.
The position sees him become the primary point of contact for digital licensees across the region.
Morris will take responsibility for driving Warner/Chappell’s Pan-European Digital Licensing (PEDL) initiative, as well as managing relationships and overseeing negotiations with existing and prospective digital partners.
His appointment comes alongside those of Ann Sweeney and Stephen Dallas in the US, who have been appointed executive vice president of digital strategy and policy, and vice president of digital legal affairs and business development respectively.
Both Morris and Dallas will report to Sweeney.
“For several years Warner/Chappell has led efforts to improve and simplify digital licensing across Europe with the successful PEDL initiative, and I am confident that Iain’s expertise and strong understanding of this complex and changing industry will ensure we remain a go-to partner for collection societies and digital services,” said Sweeney.
