The Saturday, July 21 Love Live Music on the Waterfront by Liverpool's Pier Head is being staged in conjunction with Liverpool City Council and will also include former Mike and the Mechanics lead singer Paul Carrack, New York singer-songwriter Nell Bryden and vocal harmony group The Overtones.
GMG Radio's Group Programme Director John Simons said: "Over the last year we have hosted some amazing Love Live Music events with artists including Rumer, Katie Melua, Lady Antebellum, Adele and Will Young and Nell Bryden have performed at events across the UK this week. But this is our biggest one yet and will give over 8,000 people the chance to see some of Smooth Radio's favourite artists performing live and for free."
Liverpool City Council's cabinet member for culture and tourism Councillor Wendy Simon said: "We're delighted to be able to announce such a strong line-up which I'm sure will be a big hit with music lovers everywhere".
Love Live Music is part of the City Council's series of waterfront events, which will also include the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra playing on Friday, July 20.
