Webcasting IV royalty rates to remain same for majors and indies
Major labels will continue to be paid the same statutory webcasting rates as independents for the next five years in the US, it has been announced.
The Register of Copyrights released an opinion in response to a “novel material question of law” from the Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) in the “Webcasting IV” rate setting procedure, which will determine rates for 2016-2020.
