Womad Festival could go ahead without police support

Wiltshire Police are challenging the licence of the festival - which has been held at Charlton Park near Malmesbury since 2007 - following a disagreement with the organisers over policing the event.

Smith said the event, due to be held from July 27-29, will see private security used if no agreement with police is reached.
