Items brought either from the company website or in-store can now be delivered to customers' homes or to another store that may be more convenient. The service, called Woolworths: You Collect Or We Deliver, is free of charge.
It is available at all of Woolworth's 826 stores and applies to 245,000 of the company's 250,000-item product range, including CDs.
Woolworths director of multi-channel retails Tony Prescott says, "We now offer our customers more choice and a flexible multi-channel offer. Collection from store makes sense for our customers because it's cheaper and it saves them time. It also makes sense for Woolworths because it enables us to leverage our supply chain and drive footfall into our stores."
