Music publishers and Premier League drop YouTube copyright lawsuit

A long-running legal battle between YouTube and the Premier League, the French Tennis Federation and several music publishers has reportedly been dropped.

The case began in 2007 when music publishers and the Premier League claimed the video platform was involved in extensive copyright infringement as music and TV clips were uploaded to the site.

The Premier League launched a class action in the US, offering others the opportunity to also take on the video sharing site.
