Music Week’s round-up of essential music biz stories you might have missed…

Loud Luxury x Kobalt

Kobalt announced an exclusive worldwide agreement with electronic producers and DJs Loud Luxury. The deal offers the duo publishing, administration, creative services and sync for all of Loud Luxury's catalogue and future works.

Dominique Keegan, senior creative director, Kobalt, said: “Loud Luxury's music production, DJ sets and engaging personalities are a truly winning combination. I fell in love with their international smash Body the first time I heard it and I am so excited to be working with them on forthcoming releases. Andrew and Joe's love of underground music blended with their understanding of what works commercially is a key ingredient that will enable them to engage with millions of fans across the globe."

Felt Music

Music supervisor and bespoke composition company Felt Music has made appointments to its London-based team. Lina Tebbs has been named global head of business development and marketing, while Geoff Cox has been appointed head of publishing. Both report to MD Natalie Dickens.

Tebbs was previously head of client services and head of television, Europe at Audio Network. Cox was music publishing executive at Sky’s in-house publisher and production library, SATV.

Downtown x Cowboys & Pirates

Downtown Music Publishing has entered into a joint venture with independent publisher Cowboys & Pirates. The collaboration is focused on developing new songwriters and producers within the hip-hop and R&B songwriting community.

In addition, the joint venture announced its first two signings: producer, songwriter, and instrumentalist John Key and songwriter James “SuperChilly” Carver.

Silva Screen x Sirocco

Silva Screen has acquired the Sirocco jazz catalogue. It will be joining Silva Screen’s jazz labels, CMP and Hip Bop. Unavailable both digitally and physically for four years, the entire Sirocco catalogue is currently ready to be re-released through Silva Screen Music Group.

Ingrooves x Pitbull

Ingrooves has signed the Mr. 305 record label to a worldwide deal for all of its Latin music releases. Under the new agreement, Ingrooves and Mr. 305 will work together to increase consumption and sales via integrated marketing campaigns. 

Launched in 2009 by Pitbull and Robert Fernandez, two singles have already been released under the new deal.
