Janice Brock resigns from Sony/ATV

Janice Brock has resigned from Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Music Week understands.

Brock (pictured, right), who was promoted last year to joint head of A&R, UK - along with David Ventura (left) - is said to want to pursue alternative avenues within the music business. David Ventura will assume the role of head of A&R, UK.

The publishing exec joined Sony/ATV in 2007, first in the New York office under chairman and CEO Martin Bandier before relocating to London in 2008 and taking on the role of SVP, UK Operations. She was later made VP international, A&R and then director of UK A&R.

Artists Brock has signed and worked with include Kasabian, Naughty Boy, Mikky Ekko, Fraser T Smith, Maverick Sabre, Arrow Benjamin and Krept & Konan.
