Sony/ATV UK head of A&R David Ventura has hailed the arrival of new senior A&R manager Alastair Kinross, citing his appointment as crucial to the company’s expansion into the urban music market.

The move follows the recent addition of Alex Sparks to the London-based A&R team and comes as Sony/ATV UK looks to continue a stellar run, which has seen the company notch up 50 consecutive weeks as publisher or co-publisher of the UK No.1 single.
