Sync Story: Accessorize / OMYO

The Devil might wear Prada, but pop duos from London wear New Look. Well, OMYO did when they debuted their first single, Lady, in conjunction with the brand’s 2016 Autumn/Winter campaign.

The pair are currently soundtracking another advert after Monsoon Accessorize picked up the song Mysterious Girl for their SS17 Festival Fashion campaign.

“This brilliant collaboration came about when the band were in New York making the video for Days With You and they played a show to tie in with the shoot,” explains OMYO’s manager, Ken Graydon.

“Oliver Peck – the head of marketing, content & PR at Monsoon Accessorize – came down and decided then and there that he wanted Mysterious Girl for the campaign.

“The band have a strong link to the fashion world with Will [Edward]’s modelling experience and their previous campaign with New Look,” adds Graydon.

“It’s great to keep building upon this as the band continue to grow.”

Oliver Peck, meanwhile, says he chose the track because “it’s a great summer tune”.

“Our summer film was made with the purpose of showcasing our festival range,” he explains. “With that in mind, this tune had a great festival vibe and the title, Mysterious Girl, tied back to the creative of the video.”
