Warner/Chappell Music has today (May 12) announced that it has extended its worldwide publishing agreement with leading German urban songwriter and artist Marteria. The deal comes in advance of Marteria’s third studio album, Roswell, which is set for release on May 26 through urban pop label Four Music.
Speaking about the deal, Marteria said: “Warner/Chappell has been incredibly supportive over the past couple of years. We’ve always enjoyed a shared a vision of how to best develop my songwriting career, and I look forward to keeping our momentum together going, especially with the upcoming release of Roswell, which I’m super excited about.”
Lars Karlsson, WCM’s managing director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Nordics, added: “Marteria is one of the most forward-thinking songwriters in Germany and I look forward to continuing our work together. Urban music is having a massive impact in Germany, from driving forward the region’s songwriting culture, to fuelling music fans’ engagement with streaming services, and Marteria is at the cutting edge of the scene.”
