The agreement, which has now to be approved by US Copyright Royalty Judges, proposes a mechanical royalty rate of 10.5% of revenue, less performance royalties, for digital service providers that offer streaming and limited downloads.
The US industry was represented by the RIAA, the National Music Publishers' Association, the Nashville Songwriters Association International and the Songwriters Guild of America. The online services were represented by the Digital Media Association.
