Lammy supports performers

Lammy told the meeting that he wants to see the "best interests of performers met by the Directive", which is currently being debated in the European Parliament.

The Directive has specified 95 years and, although Culture Secretary Andy Burnham recently said the UK Government was more inclined to a term of around 70 years, Lammy's comments suggest he is more inclined to see more than 20 years extension.
