PS3 gets VidZone
11:16 | Wednesday May 6, 2009
VidZone’s music video on-demand service will launch for the Playstation 3 this summer.
The service will allow users to stream videos, live concerts, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews to their TVs via the PS3.
Users will also be able to save their own music video libraries, creating custom playlists.
VidZone also features cross-functionality with PSP portable devices, allowing users to create playlists when outside of the house.
VidZone is backed by several major labels plus thousands of indies.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe hardware and platforms marketing manager Isabelle Tomatis says, “Music has always been popular on PS3 and now VidZone is set to transform the way we view music videos by letting you completely tailor your experience and is just one more reason for PS3 to be the most valued player in your living room.”
