Ben & Jerry's returns to Clapham
10:07 | Thursday May 21, 2009
The Ben & Jerry’s Sundae On the Common festival returns to London in July, with bands being offered the chance to win a slot on the main stage.
The festival, now in its fifth year, takes place on Clapham Common on July 25 and 26, with bands including Camera Obscura and I Am Kloot.
As well as the event’s usual line up of fairground rides and free ice cream, new bands will get a chance to play the festival via The Moo Sessions (www.benjerry.co.uk/moosessions).
Entrants should log on to www.benjerry.co.uk, answer the key question and submit a video or audio clip, along with a photograph before June 8.
The prize includes travel and accommodation for the band, plus 20 VIP tickets.
Ben & Jerry’s brand manager Vicky Willis says, “Ben & Jerry’s love music almost as much as we love ice cream, in fact, Phish Food was named after a Vermont-based band and Cherry Garcia was named in honour of the Grateful Dead’s Garcia.”
