Muse sell out UK tour

17:11 | Friday June 5, 2009

Muse’s forthcoming arena tour sold out this morning within minutes of tickets going on sale.

In total more than 95,000 tickets were sold in the online scramble.

The band’s fifth studio album, The Resistance, is set for release this autumn to coincide with their 30-date European tour.

Muse have consistently been voted as one of the best live bands in the world over the last few years. Their sell-out Wembley Stadium shows in 2007 were their biggest shows to date, playing to around 160,000 people over two nights.

Their new album, will be their first in over three years to feature original material.

I am not surprised about this! I was so lucky to get my tickets but i hope more dates are added-there are a lot of disappointed fans out there

Sold out to rip off ticket resellers and scummy ebay touts. Wonder how many genuine fans actually got tickets? All in the grubby hands of these parasites..

its an absolute farce, sooo many fans didnt get tickets, and withen minutes ebay was swarming with thousands of tickets, one guy selling 300!! i was online ready to buy at 9 but they were gone before i could refresh my page... i hate touts so much.

We got 2 tickets - just. The ticket web site was barely able to cope with demand and for a while we thought our purchase had been lost. You wont find our tickets on ebay!!

umm alex, i somehow doubt he actually had 300 since there was a ticket limit of 4 per credit card everywhere I checked. I originally tried to buy my tickets on ticketmaster but it just kept telling me it couldn't find tickets like 40 times between 8.59 and 9.06 before I went to google and found the SECC's actual website and bought them there for a less than ticketmasters face value, WITH the service charge included [i'm quite glad it wouldn't work]

Can't believe its been almost a month and still no mention on the website about adding more dates, or even the fact they sold out in 12 mins! So disappointed, am a massive muse fan and i am so angry with the ticket touts!!!
