La Roux set to be number one with a bullet

La Roux looks set to score her first number one single this Sunday, with Bulletproof (Polydor) currently outselling David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s When Love Takes Over (Positiva) by a margin of around 7,000.
La Roux’s previous single In For The Kill stalled at number two but Bulletproof should go one further, after selling almost 27,000 copies on day of release. When Love Takes Over sold around 20,000 units yesterday.
Another hotly-tipped new artist, Florence And The Machine, is set to join La Roux in the singles top 20 on Sunday, with her Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) [Island], while Basement Jaxx’s Raindrops (XL) should make the top 30.
On the albums chart Kasabian are set for a third week at number one with their West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum (Columbia).
It closest competitors are Paolo Nutini’s Sunny Side Up (Atlantic), which continues to sell solidly and Dream Theater’s new album Black Clouds And Silver Linings (Roadrunner).
Further down the chart a number of new releases are challenging for top 20 positions including Jack Penate’s Everything Is New (XL), Gossip’s Music For Men (Columbia), Neil Sedaka’s The Music Of My Life (UMTV) and Regina Spektor’s Far (Sire).
