At the 2009 Spike Video Games Awards Game on Saturday, developers Harmonix, owned by MTV Networks, revealed that it had struck the brand partnership with the punk trio.
Harmonix CEO and co-founder Alex Rigopulos told fans that this was an opportunity to create a more personal connection with the band, adding, "Fans will be able to enjoy some of the greatest songs from the Green Day catalogue in this standalone game.
