mFlow makes hires
10:59 | Tuesday February 9, 2010
Digital music service mFlow has made two senior hires ahead of its public launch in April.
Former Warner Music strategic marketing manager Kerry Newman has joined the company as brand manager; while Pete Trainor, formerly head of user experience at marketing agency Tequila London, becomes product development director.
Newman reports to mFlow music director Don Jenkins and has been tasked with refining the mFlow brand positioning and to increase awareness and visibility of the company’s music discovery offering in the marketplace.
Trainor was involved in the original concept and planning stages for mFlow as a consultant and has now joined the company in a full-time role. He will work with the company’s design and development teams to further develop the mFlow user experience and product offering.
mFlow CEO and co-founder Oleg Fomenko explains, “We need to work with people who share our vision for social music discovery and both Kerry and Pete Both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with them which will help refine and shape our offering moving forward.”
mFlow allows users to discover new music, follow other users, build a network of trusted sources, recommend music to others, browse, search and purchase music online. It also rewards users for sharing and recommending music.
