10:33 | Friday March 19, 2010

Warner/Chappell Music has extended its worldwide co-publishing agreement with Claude Kelly.

As part of the agreement, Warner/Chappell Music will continue to co-publish on a worldwide basis all of Kelly’s future compositions, as well as his catalogue of past work.

The R&B singer has penned a number of hits for Britney Spears’ last album, Circus, as well as My Life Would Suck Without You for Kelly Clarkson and Party in the USA recorded by Miley Cyrus.

“Claude is an extraordinary talent who has, in just a few years, turned into one of the industry’s go-to songwriters,” says Warner/Chappell Music president Scott Francis.

“His versatility is a terrific complement to our goal of taking talented songwriters and helping them branch out across different genres of music.”

“It’s exciting to extend my partnership with Warner/Chappell which has been my music publishing home since the beginning,” adds Kelly.

“They’re a great team that’s always delivered tremendous results and I look forward to working on many more exciting projects together.”

A native New Yorker from Manhattan’s Lower East Side, Kelly began his music career after graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2002.
