Boyzone's Brother holds off GaGa's Fame

10:32 | Tuesday March 23, 2010

Boyzone could move back to the top of the albums chart this Sunday, with Brother (Polydor) currently ahead of Lady GaGa’s The Fame (Polydor) in midweek sales flashes.

Elsewhere on the chart, Laura Marling’s I Speak Because I Can (Virgin) looks set to be the highest new entry, sitting at three in the midweeks, ahead of Goldfrapp’s Head First (Mute) and Joe Bonamassa’s Black Rock (Provogue).

All three albums should debut within the top ten, with Justin Bieber’s My World (Mercury) also set to climb into the ten.

Gabriella Cilmi’s second album Ten (Island) should debut within the top twenty, while Mary J Blige’s Stronger With Each Tear (Polydor) should make its chart bow within the top thirty.

On the singles chart, Lady GaGa’s Telephone (Polydor) and Tinie Tempah’s Pass out (Parlophone) continue their battle for supremacy, with GaGa some 2,000 units ahead at this stage.

Boyzone’s Gave It All Away (Polydor) looks set to climb into the top ten but there are unlikely to be any new entries within the top forty.
