Schmitt to leave EMI
Sunday, Aug 29th 2010 at 5:54PMIn a memo to EMI staff the company's CEO Roger Faxon outlined his sadness that Schmitt had decided to "return to his entrepreneurial roots."
Following Schmitt's departure Faxon says that the catalogue and central marketing team will be "guided" in the interim by EMI Music Publishing COO Leo Corbett.
Having spent the past two months meeting EMI staff and investigating ongoing EMI initiatives Faxon also revealed in the memo that he is close to unveiling his vision for the company.
