Xbox is increasingly less about gaming and more about music and social media

Microsoft Interactive Entertainment Business corporate VP Dennis Durkin, speaking at the BMO Capital Markets Digital Entertainment Conference in New York, said US Xbox users are spending 40% of their time on the console engaged in non-gaming activity.

He stated that non-gaming activity on connected consoles includes listening to music via both Zune (Microsoft's own music platform) and Last.fm, as well as watching movies on Netflix and connecting socially via both Facebook and Twitter.
