Sony appoints Morris as CEO
Wednesday, Mar 2nd 2011 at 6:15PMMorris announced last year that he was to step down from his role at Universal at the end of 2010, when Lucian Grainge became outright CEO of the music major, following six months as co-CEO with Morris.
At Sony Morris will succeed Rolf Schmidt-Holtz, who will leave the company at the end of his contract on March 31.
In the interim Sony Corp chairman, CEO and president Howard Stringer will oversee executive decision making at Sony Music.
