Last.fm hits 60 billion scrobble landmark

Scrobbling is the Last.fm mechanic that tells its listeners what songs they play most often, which songs they like the most, how much they've played an artist over a certain amount of time and which friends have similar tastes.

The 60 billion milestone was reached at 6.26am this morning with Gaga joining the likes of Bob Dylan, James Blunt and Linkin' Park in the scrobble hall of fame.
