ISM voices concerns over music education plan

The organisation said it was worried that proposals for the fast growth of new music education hubs which were expected to take forward the work of local authority music services would not become a reality in the current economic climate adding it was important that Arts Council funding in the process was transparent and accountable.

However ISM said it welcomed Government's decision to fund music education in schools for three years from April 2012.
