Midweek Charts: Madonna set to surpass Elvis on all-time list

The album, her first released through Interscope/Polydor since her departure from long-time home Warner, had sold around 39,000 copies up to the end of business on Tuesday, according to the Official Charts Company. That is more than the next five albums combined.

If, as expected, MDNA does reach number one this Sunday it would be Madonna's 12th chart-topper, one more than Elvis Presley has managed. Only The Beatles with 15 number ones have topped the chart more times.
