Universal launches new classical label
Wednesday, Apr 4th 2012 at 3:12PMThe new label will be an artist and repertoire centre working with young artists and established musicians to 'bring a distinctive and fresh perspective to classical music'.
It will run alongside Universal's two existing classical labels Deutsche Gramophone and Decca.
Dr Alexander Buhr who has worked at Deutsche Grammophon for more than 10 years has been appointed managing director of Mercury Classics.
