Sony gaining on Universal US market share after Adam Lambert success

So far in 2012, Universal's US market share lead has dropped to 1.2% sitting at 30.4% next to Sony's 29.2%.

Last year, Sony was 2.8% behind Universal in terms of US market share and the pair were separated by a 5.2% difference in 2010.

Sony dominates Billboard's Top 3 this week, with Adele's 21 and Carrie Underwood's Blown Away sitting behind Lambert's No.1.
