Word says sorry to Morrissey

Legal proceedings are currently ongoing between the singer and the NME over an article that appeared in the magazine in December 2007, allegedly implying that the former front man of The Smiths has racist views.

A subsequent review of the singer's recent Greatest Hits in Word magazine by David Quantick contained statements that Morrissey's legal representatives say echoed the defamatory statements made in the NME.
