Global digital revenues rise 6% in 2010, while market falls

The numbers comes from the new IFPI Digital Music Report 2011, which shows that digital now accounts for 29% of total label income last year, with a trade value of $4.6bn (?2.88bn).

Speaking to reporters at a launch event this morning, the industry organisation also revealed that global recorded music trade revenues fell by an estimated 8-9% in 2010, from a value of $17.3bn (?10.8bn) in 2009.
