Bon Jovi lining up London residency?
Wednesday September 23, 2009
Speculation that rockers Bon Jovi are set to return to The O2 arena in London for a multi-date residency has been played down by promoters AEG Live.
Rumours about a mooted 20-night residency are spreading across the internet, but, officially at least, AEG Live had little to say on the matter, with a spokesman stating that he had not heard anything about such a deal.
However, sources elsewhere suggest there may be some truth to the tale, noting that it was Bon Jovi who opened the record-breaking arena two years ago and that the band has a history of booking residencies in the United States.
A spokesman for the band says the band are working on the release of new album The Circle later this year and are also set to announce details for a North American tour, but the spokseman denies any knowledge of a London residency.
