New Michael Jackson album for October
15:55 | Wednesday September 23, 2009
Sony Music’s fourth quarter schedule has been given a spectacular boost with the announcement of a new Michael Jackson album, including a brand new song.
The two-disc album, entitled This Is It, ties in with the forthcoming film of the same name, released by Sony Pictures on October 28.
The album, featuring “the music that inspired” the film, is released internationally on October 26 to coincide. A new single, also entitled This Is It, will be released on October 12.
Disc one of the album will feature original versions of some of Jackson’s biggest hits, arranged in the same sequence as they appear in the film. It ends with two versions of This Is It, which features backing vocals by Michael’s brothers, The Jacksons.
Disc two features previously unreleased versions of some of the artist’s hits, as well as a previously-unheard spoken word poem, Planet Earth.
The album includes a 36-page, commemorative booklet featuring photos of Jackson from his last rehearsal.

mj has inspired me in many ways!i paid no attention to him b4 he died but when he did i stated watching the news about him and now i love him!
Great to hear there's going to be one new song in yet ANOTHER compilation of his greatest hits. Oh well at least they are in a different order to that of its predecessors :0/ I cannot express how much i love this man but some clever business people are seriously capitalising on the unfortunate circumstances that have triggered the revival of Jackson fever! How about they treat the fans to a whole album of NEW material, after all we've only been waiting for 8 years!
We need to rewrite science books... Apparently dead cows can be milked too
Michael Jackson is a genius! And a master mind. Can't wait for the new film and album.
