Octavian, Grace Carter and Mahalia are among the artists set to play the BBC Sound Of 2019 Live event.

Kicking off at 7pm on January 31, the show will be broadcast live on Annie Mac’s show on BBC Radio 1 and will also feature performances from Dermot Kennedy and Sea Girls, who feature in On The Radar in the latest issue of Music Week.

Ellie Goulding, who topped the BBC’s annual new music poll back in 2010, will also perform on the night.

South London rapper Octavian was unveiled as the winner of the Sound Of 2019 last week. BBC Radio 1/1Xtra DJ Benji B said: “Octavian is not in any genre – he is absolutely in his own lane.”

Last year, BBC Sound winner Sigrid performed at Maida Vale alongside Pale Waves, Not3s, Rex Orange County and Yxng Bane.
