Liam Gallagher launches video for debut solo single

Liam Gallagher has released the first new music from his debut solo album, As You Were.

Lead single Wall Of Glass premiered last night (May 31) on MistaJam’s BBC Radio 1 show. Click below to watch the video, which was directed by François Rousselet (The Rolling Stones’ Ride ‘Em On Down, Jack White’s Lazaretto). The track was made available to pre-order last week, while the video has so far notched 358,450 views on YouTube.

Gallagher is currently touring the UK, having paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena attack at the city’s Ritz venue earlier this week. Watch a clip of Live Forever from the Ritz show via Gallagher’s Facebook page.

The sold-out run continues tonight at Brixton Electric in London before calling at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre (June 10) and Glasgow Barrowlands (June 11).

Gallagher’s live band features Mike Moore (guitar), Jay Mehler (guitar), Drew McConnell (bass), Dan McDougall (drums) and Christian Madden (keys).

As You Were is set for release via Warner Bros in October. Gallagher discussed his comeback in last week’s edition of NME, telling the publication, “I want to get back to doing my job, playing rock’n'roll to the people who like it. I love it and people can see that. You can tell by that big vein down the side of my neck.”

Gallagher is also due to play Reading & Leeds Festivals in August. Back in December, Music Week broke the news of the singer’s publishing deal with Warner/Chappell.
